Privacy Policy

What this policy covers

Last updated: August 2026

1. Who we are

This website (sidemyney.website, “SideMyney”) is a Malaysian product review and comparison site. We are reader-supported through affiliate commissions.

2. Data we collect

• No tracking by default. SideMyney is a static website. We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and we do not set cookies.
• Country notice: the homepage displays a fixed “proudly Malaysian” notice. We do not detect your location or process your IP address to do so.
• Search: the search box runs entirely in your browser against an index bundled with the page. Your search terms are never sent to us and are not stored.
• Email: if you email us, we keep your message and email address only to reply.

3. Cookies

We do not set cookies of our own. Links to Lazada Malaysia are ordinary outbound links — once you click through, Lazada’s own cookie and privacy policies apply to your activity on their site. We do not sell personal data.

4. Affiliate disclosure

SideMyney is a participant in the Lazada Malaysia affiliate program. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not influence our recommendations.

5. Your rights

Under Malaysian law (Personal Data Protection Act 2010) and equivalent regulations, you have the right to:

• Access personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing

To exercise these rights, email hello@sidemyney.website with your request. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy. Email correspondence is retained until your enquiry is resolved, then deleted.

7. Contact

For data-related enquiries:

• Email: hello@sidemyney.website
• Address: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the latest version is always on this page.
